What sets us apart from the rest?

We are unique in that we are one of the few millwork companies who  do not subcontract out any portion of our work. We employ our own in-house draftsman who creates custom drawings  for each project,  a fabrication shop with state of the art equipment enabling our skilled craftsman to build only the finest quality products, a finish shop with two spray booths that enable our experienced finishers to produce a high quality and custom finish using our two part catalyst system, as well as our own professionally trained installation team. From start to finish the project is in our hands; therefore we can control, ensure and guarantee that our standards for quality are maintained and met.

Chris Wollaston, Owner/Founder
Chris Wollaston began his career in wood working early on in his Dad’s basement workshop in Montana. By the age of 12, he was honing his skills in shop class learning the art of sharpening a hand planer which took the better part of that semester. High school was spent learning the old school way of surfacing a board with that hand planer. Summers between college semesters at the Montana School of Mining were spent working in the logging industry learning all aspects of harvesting lumber. After college, he relocated to Texas where he began a career in the home building industry starting out with framing, then moving on to trim carpentry and finally custom cabinetry and furniture. Whether learning joinery from a master cabinet maker or carving from the Basilio Brothers; Chris’s expertise in millwork grew.  In 1996, Chris decided to go into the cabinetry and fine woodworking business for himself and Georgetown Woodworks has been “building dreams”ever since. His passion has always been fulfilling the inspiration of the client and to build the best quality product out there. Chris understands that this can’t be accomplished on his own and takes pride in surrounding himself with a capable team who shares his philosophy. When Chris is not working or spending time with his three children, Chris enjoys golf and tennis and the occasional fishing or elk hunting trip.

Matthew Williamson, Estimator
Matthew Williamson is a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in Interior Architecture and Product Design. During college, he worked in a small cabinet shop where he learned the fundamentals of architectural millwork. After college, Matthew spent four years engineering and designing millwork.  His background and experience in the building industry made it an easy transition for him to move into estimating. He joined the team at Georgetown Woodworks as Estimator in August of 2009 and bids all of our commercial work. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys photography and spending time with his wife and son.

Kim Campbell, Accounting
Kim Campbell has a long history in the building industry. Having a Master Electrician for a father, she spent summers on jobsites; even learning about wiring light switches and GFCI receptacles at a young age. In her early career, she spent several years in the accounting and third party inspection department with an engineering firm in Austin.  She then moved on to Project Coordination for a local General Contractor doing accounting and contract administration. She would later serve as Project Coordinator for a custom pool builder where she handled the accounting, permitting and project scheduling.  Having worked at every level of the building process; from concept to fruition, Kim has a unique and astute understanding of this business. She joined the Georgetown Woodworks’ team in May of 2010 and handles all the accounting as well as contract administration. In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also in the construction industry, and her three daughters and three sons.

Lisa Carver, Project & Marketing Coordinator
Lisa Carver was working in the Marketing Department of a franchise corporation before being “recruited” to join Georgetown Woodworks at the beginning of 2008. She wears many hats; serving as Project Coordinator/Design Consultant, working closely with the clients within the residential division as well as handling the Marketing and Public Relations for the company; managing the website and Facebook blog and keeping Georgetown Woodworks “in the news”. On a personal note, she hails from the Rio Grande Valley (speaks a little more than poquito espanol) and is an 8th generation Texan. She is proud Mom to 12 year old twin boys.
